Ground Control Station
The Ground Control Station (GCS) for MAVs serves as the central command hub, controlling and monitoring the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during their operations. GCS employs an intuitive graphical interface that provides real-time telemetry and control functionalities. Through this interface, operators can access crucial information such as flight parameters, battery status, and live video feeds from the quadrotors' onboard cameras, Figure 1. Communication between the GCS and quadrotors is established through a robust radio modem, leveraging 4G cellular connectivity. The integration of a 4G modem offers extended operational range, high data transfer rates, and reduced latency. This ensures that operators can maintain a reliable and responsive link with the quadrotors even when they are deployed over longer distances.
